hello spring!

Ihanan aurinkoiselta näyttää ilma tänään Lontoossa, saa nähdä onko ulkona lämmintä, kun tästä lähden kohti luentosalia. 
Alkavan kevään (toivottavasti se nyt jo tulisi!) kunniaksi leopardihuivini pääsee talven jäljiltä käyttöön. Oikeasti huivi on tuubi, mutta onnistuin solmimaan sen hieman keväisemmäksi.

So sunny and nice today again, the sunshine has really put me on a spring mood. Not sure if the temperature agrees, but I'll find out soon, as I'm on my way to the lecture hall. It's amazing how sun changes your mood and I felt like dressing up a bit, so my leopard scarf gets to be worn today.

Olisin niin mieluisasti halunnut tarjota teille allaolevan kummallisesta kulmasta otetun photobooth kuvan sijasta kunnolliset asukuvat, mutta kohta pitää juosta. 
Ihmeellistä miten aurinko voikaan piristää mieltä ja kummastelin miten onnistuinkaan löytämään vaatekaapistani aurinkoiseen mieleen sopivan asun. Punainen hm neule on vuosien takaa(!) ja sen pariksi yhdistetty valkoinen perusribbi ja lempparifarkkuni yhdessä vihreän parkatakin ja uusien nilkkureiden, olen super tyytyväinen päivän arkilookkiin. 
Aurinkoista perjantaita! 

I wished I had the equipment and time to take proper outfit pics today, but i have to run! 
It's sunny today in London and my mood is adjusted accordingly. So happy I managed to pull together a great look from my wardrobe as well. Its nothing special, but works perfectly for today, my red H&M that was bought years ago, with a white rib tank, my favourite jeans together with my green parka and my new ankle boots. But as said, gotta run!

Ennen kun pakkaan laukkuni ja suuntaan yliopistolle kirjastopäivän viettoon pikakatsaus päivän asuuni. Vaalea neule, on monen vuoden takaa, mutta silti yksi lempi yläosistani. Samoiten vyö, molemmat taitaa olla H&M ostoksia, mutta vielä vuosien jälkeen ahkerassa käytössä. Vaatekaappirakkautta parhaimillaan.

Before I head off the uni for some independent study I thought I would show you a sneak of my today's outfit. The knit I'm wearing is quite special, I've bought it long long time ago but its still one of my favourites. Same goes for the belt. This is true love ❤

just a quick hello

Takista ja kaulaliinasta sen voi huomata, että syksy on saapunut Lontooseen. Eilen tuli bongattua liikenteessä myös paljon neuleita ja kaulaliinoja. Lähen pyörähtämään asiolla, sitten taas takaisin sorvin ääreen harjoittelupaikkahakemuksia rustailemaan. Mukavaa keksiviikkoa ;)

Autumn is here, thats easy to see from that I'm already wearing a jacket and scarf. Seen a lot of cosy nights and scarf out yesterday too, so I guess its official autumn is here. I'm heading out just a quick run and then ill be back finishing off some internship applications I want to get sent out asap. Have a nice day!

Nopeasti photoboothilla napatut asukuvat, koitan keksiä miten saisin parempilaatuisia kuvia otettua, mutta näillä nyt ensi hätään, eikö ;)

Nyt pitää jo mennä, vuorossa Victoria & Albert museo. En malta odottaa, siellä kun on esillä vaikka mitä kivaa.

I have to run, I'm going to visit the Victoria % Albert museum today for the first time, super excited, theres a bunch of cool things on display.

today's rachel zoe inspiration

Koukutuin eilen Rachel Zoe Project realitysarjaan ja ihastuin asuihin. Sarjassa viimeisillään raskaana olevan Rachel Zoen päällä oli paljon mustia löysiä, legginsien kanssa hyvin yksiin meneviä yläosia. Mustat, valkoiset, harmaat ja hyvin muotoillut, kaiken kanssa sopivat yläosat olisivat kovasti hakusessa myös omaan vaattekaappiin, täydelliset kirjastopäiviin tai kaupungilla asiointiin. 

So completely hooked on Rachel Zoe Project that it isn't hard to guess where I got the inspiration for today's outfit. Going pass the fact that this super stylist is almost nine months pregnant she still manages to look great and her use of basic tops is what made me release I totally lack the in my wardrobe. Black, whites and greys, comfy tops for everyday and even fit with leggings is what I need right now! 

Omistan jo yhen tarkoitukseen sopivan mustan tunikatopin mutta pientä DIY muokkausta tarvitaan, jotta se olisi sopiva.. Tästä lisää myöhemmin. 


This top has almost what it takes but needs a bit of DIY before it can truly qualify.

Tälläistä tänään päällä, kun suuntaan tyttöjen kanssa turisteilemaan Istanbulissa. Päivän agendassa Hagia Sophia sekä Topkapi palatsi. Illasta koitan ehtiä yliopistolle tenttilukuun, kun flunssa nr 2500 alkaa vihdoin olla selätetty. aurinkoista torstaita :)


This is my outfit today as I have planned sightseeing with my girlfriends, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi palace are waiting. Later I plan to hit the books hard as those final exams are sneaking up on me, now that yet another flue has been defeated I'm ready for some hard core exam prep. have a sunny thursday :) 

get-me-art gallery

Tapasin ystäväni crepe aamiaisen merkeissä, jonka jälkeen kävimme spontaanisti get-me-art galleryn näyttelyssä Sapphire ostoskeskuksessa. 
Esillä oli italialaisen Marco Veronesen nouveau renesanssi - teoksia.


It's been a productive morning as I met up with my friend for breakfast crepes and then we spontaneously visited the Marco Veronese nouveau renaissance exhibition at get-me-art gallery.

Saimme näyttelyssä nopean katsauksen taiteilijan ajatusmaailmaan sekä visioon näyttelyn takana. Teosten oli tarkoitus kuvastaa taitelijan näkemystä nykymaailman olevan kaaoksessa ja ainoa tapa selvitä tästä on luoda uusi renesanssi. Teoksissa näkyvät perhoset, pääkallot sekä maailmanpallo kuvastavat tätä filosofiaa. 


The artist vision behind the works were this idea of the modern world being in chaos and that a new renaissance was needed for the world to regain balance, the butterflies, the skeletons and the globe symbolises this philosophy. 

 

Secondhand Saturday

Tein tänään jotain tavallista poikkeavaa. Rohkeana keräsin kamerani ja suuntasin kohti keskustaa, yhdeltä oli treffit ryhmä ennestään tuntemattomien ihmisten kanssa.  Päivän tarkoitus oli kiertää Istanbulin secondhand kauppoja, erityisesti Beyoglun kaupunginosassa ja kartoittaa tarjontaa yhtä netti projektia varten. Mikäli kuulen projektista lisää, saatan kirjoittaa asiasta vielä enemmän.

Great things can happen if you take the risk of meeting new people and having an open minded attitude. I signed up for a project to shoot some pics about second hand shops in Istanbul and as a result not only managed to get good frames, meeting and laughing with cool people really made this saturday the best in a long time. 



Lounastauolla nauttittu grillattu kanasalaatti. 

Luckily the project allowed us a break for lunch, yum!

Kiitos kivasta päivästä! Kannatti ottaa riski ja mennä täysin purjein kohti tuntematonta. Niin kivoja ihmisiä, uusia elämyksiä sekä mahdollisesti myös hieman mainetta ja kunniaa.
